Whether running a consultancy, a corner shop or a construction company, Microsoft Excel is an invaluable tool for any small business owner.
If you have a system in place to collect your financial and operational data, you may still need to download it and organise it to draw insights. Dashboards can only provide a generic snapshot of your business situation. Even if you have someone in your organisation who does it for you, you still need to know what information to ask for as a business owner. Better still, there is no analysis like your analysis.
For customisation and trend analysis that reflect and inform your strategy, Excel is your best friend. Provided you know how to use it.
