We help Polish Entrepreneurs grow in the UK
Knowledge - Networking - Collaboration
What is Roadshow?
Polish Business Link is organising series of FREE Roadshow events targeting the biggest UK cities focusing on helping Polish business owners grow in the UK. This year all events will be online.
Events will give entrepreneurs the chance to get away from the day-to-day grind of running their business and think about their growth plan, and support in these challenging times.
Roadshow events will be also a chance for British SMEs to tap into the thriving network of Polish businesses, opening up the potential collaboration including lucrative export opportunities. Equally British firms will benefit greatly from identifying UK-based Polish contractors, for example in the construction sector.
6:10pm Mastermind session
6:45pm 1to1 with Experts in breakoutrooms
7:30pm Business Networking
How can a company minimise the damage caused by the Coronavirus and Brexit?
In this hands-on workshop, we will look at different sectors and consider practical steps that can be taken.
The workshops will cover contract renegotiation, employment and layoffs, as well as immigration.
The workshop will be conducted by Kate Bogusławska, who is a very experienced commercial lawyer and partner in the law firm Carter Lemon Camerons LLP from the City of London. He advises and represents companies from various departments and has a lot of practical knowledge useful for entrepreneurs.
I will be glad to help and provide interpreting services, if needed, during the Polish Business Roadshow Online.
I am officially registered as an English-Polish language sworn translator. Having completed M.A. in Translation, I have been continuously working as a Translator / Interpreter for almost 15 years. I hold extensive experience in translating / interpreting in the legal and medical sectors. I am also a member of the Institute of Linguists and the National Register of Public Service Interpreters.
I have been working in eCommerce for seven years and in the broadly understood commercial industry since the 90s.
I use two opposing strategies in parallel: a) a slowly rotating but wide assortment, and b) a narrow but rapidly rotating assortment. I use eBay, Amazon, Etsy and my own platform.
When the lockdown was imposed on the tourism industry, I did not protest, I did not know what to think about it. When restaurants, pubs and cafes were not allowed to work, I disagreed, I thought it was the wrong method. When hairdressers, beauty salons and gyms were shackled, I rebelled, convinced that this was not the way.How safe are we in eCommerce? It seems like nothing bad can happen here, right ?. Trade is moving to the internet, a trend that has been going on for many years. However, some little tangible signals give food for thought. Today I look at my business again as if I was just starting out. I try to analyse the thought process of a person who, for example, is just about to open his first business, a company. Interesting experience. What decisions will a fear-fed young man make who has just seen politicians close and open what they want and when they want?
I have a few ideas, suggestions, ideas for discussion on how to protect yourself in eCommerce and more. How to run a business on the wave, under the wave, against the wave.
